SF novel by a fellow named Abbott-Butterbeard, a publican in the West Farthing, and husband of Alexa. Very interesting hard SF. Set one hundred years hence in our own little solar system. Uses a fictional electric drive like an ion drive but with more giddyap, pushing at a big 1/20 of a gee, but constantly - Boost-Turn-Brake instead of Boost-Coast-Brake. Settlements all the way out to the Kuiper Belt. Intriguing characters and a neat puzzle to hang it all on.

Does Richard want to do his book with the club? He studiously avoids pimping his books here and may not want to mix his mash with his peas. Furthermore, reading one's own book with the club could be rough - people aren't shy to say when they don't like something.
I just talked to Richard, and he is fine with the book being nominated. I think it would an be excellent example of modern hard SF.
OK - consider it nominated!
